Welcome to City and Book! I’m so excited to have you join the blog for this week’s Writer Spotlight Wednesday.

Thanks for having me!

For anyone not familiar with Alyssa’s work, she writes across the board. The main bulk of her library is new adult paranormal, fantasy and contemporary. She also has a young adult fantasy series. The image below features Book One of all the Chronicles lines.

Your books, specifically the Chronicles, have really evolved and become a whole world with characters crossing over between titles and even across multiple series. Did you ever anticipate that so much would spin off Flight?

The short answer is no. I never imagined when I sat down to write Flight I’d have so many series that were part of that world, but I did know that I had tons of stories left to tell when I finished Found. 🙂

Your newest release, was kept a secret title, until it released on Thursday. Readers were in the dark about this new Chronicles title.

What was your inspiration behind a secret title and revealing everything at one time?

Sometimes I just want to surprise people. I thought it would be a fun way to introduce readers to my new series.

You write a lot of really powerful lead couples. I love that your leading ladies are just as fierce and headstrong as the alpha male leads. I know it’s totally unfair to ask authors this but…

Do you have a favorite couple from your books that really stand out to you?

That’s a hard one. I don’t have an absolute favorite, but with that being said Allie and Levi are really close to my heart.

Do you have any information you’d like to share about what to expect from you next? More Chronicles or maybe some contemporary?

2016 is a big Chronicles year for me. After the surprise, I’ll be releasing Forged in Fire (The Forged Chronicles #3), and Love (The Allure Chronicles #4). I will also be opening Hailey’s series this year. I’m not done with contemporary though 😉

Before you go, would you mind joining a bit of non writing related fun with the fast five questions?

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

If you could pick any song to be your personal theme song, what would it be?
